One of the popular transportation options for the downtown Charleston peninsula is the DASH (Downtown Area Shuttle) trolley run by CARTA. It is also the only method other than walking that is free of charge. There are a number of off-street parking options along the routes including parking at the Visitor Center at 375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403.
There are three routes for the DASH Trolley to shuttle guests across the peninsula. Route 210 covers Calhoun Street and St. Philip (The Visitor Center, the College of Charleston, and the South Carolina Aquarium). Route 211 handles Meeting and King Streets (the Charleston City Market, art gallery district, carriage tours, Waterfront Park, and shopping). And Route 213 takes care of Calhoun Street and Lockwood Drive (Marion Square, MUSC and Joe Riley Stadium). A map of the routes is below.
