Ocoee Rafting Adventures

AN OVERVIEW

Folks who love the water and adventure are in for a treat when they visit Ocoee Rafting. Located twelve miles from Blue Ridge, GA, Ocoee Rafting is the oldest, most experienced outfitter in the business. Rafting is a great option for a family vacation or a weekend away with friends, and well-trained guides will provide all the equipment and instruction necessary for a memorable day on the rapids.

DETAILS

Guests will enjoy Class III and IV rapids on the dam-controlled Ocoee River. Water is released for water activity 100 days per year (on weekends in the spring and fall, and every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays June - August) so the water levels remain constant. Rapids run through the picturesque Ocoee Gorge in the Cherokee National Forest. There is no experience necessary but participants will need to sign a waiver at some point before their rafting trip.

Ocoee Rafting has a very well-appointed outpost where guests can get ready for their trip including large restroom and shower facilities and a fully stocked gift shop. For visitors who prefer to keep their camera dry, the company will provide professional pictures of some of the rapid runs for purchase.

Client Testimonials

  • A Charleston resident suggested a Traveling Ink concierge might be able to help me. It didn’t take long for me to realize that this was one of the best pieces of advice I could have received. My friends thought I was an organizational wizard even though I kept telling them it was Traveling Ink, not me.

    ~ Nicky H.
  • We so enjoyed our time in Charleston. Thank you for all your insight! I am recommending your services to everyone I know who is traveling to Charleston!

    ~Kathryn C.
  • Traveling Ink planned the three full days we would have in Charleston, how we would get from one place to another, places to eat, and what the costs would be. To add to the challenge, we had to change the day of one of the main attractions because rain had been predicted. They handled all the changes with out missing a step.

    ~ Harriett H.
  • These Charleston pros do a phenomenal job in any setting. Audra was our point person and is a pleasure to work with. She is laid back and can work with any request.
