The Terrace Theatre on James Island will host the 5th Annual Charleston Film Festival March 13th-17th. With a variety of full-length features and regional shorts, the lineup has proven to be quite impressive. The world premier of local film Shifter (15 min), written and produced by a Terrace employee, will open the festival on Thursday night. In addition to the 11 regional shorts, the full-length film Beyond Sight (91 min) will also be shown Friday March, 14th at 7:00pm. This inspirational movie tells the true story of blind surfer Derek Rabelo who relies on his faith to get him through life's rough seas. To get patrons through their rough seas, a surf board will be raffled off Friday night after the movie.

Other special events include the screening of Our Man in Tehran, a documentary that tells the story behind last year's Oscar winner, Argo, and a guest appearance by Bill Daugherty, the CIA agent on whom the story is based. Daugherty will share his first-hand account of what it was like to be a part of the Iranian Hostage Crisis and to be held captive for 444 days. This event is limited, and tickets will be $15.00.

Client Testimonials

  • A Charleston resident suggested a Traveling Ink concierge might be able to help me. It didn’t take long for me to realize that this was one of the best pieces of advice I could have received. My friends thought I was an organizational wizard even though I kept telling them it was Traveling Ink, not me.

    ~ Nicky H.
  • We so enjoyed our time in Charleston. Thank you for all your insight! I am recommending your services to everyone I know who is traveling to Charleston!

    ~Kathryn C.
  • Traveling Ink planned the three full days we would have in Charleston, how we would get from one place to another, places to eat, and what the costs would be. To add to the challenge, we had to change the day of one of the main attractions because rain had been predicted. They handled all the changes with out missing a step.

    ~ Harriett H.
  • These Charleston pros do a phenomenal job in any setting. Audra was our point person and is a pleasure to work with. She is laid back and can work with any request.
